Managing Domains
It is really a pleasure managing your domains through 1&1's Control Panel. You can manage every aspect of your domains using a simple horizontal menu. Each of the menu items have a dropdown list of actions that you can perform, such as add a new domain, create a subdomain, change contact info, etc.

Purchasing a new domain

To purchase a domain, you simply select New > Add.

After you select add domain, you are taken to a screen where you can order or transfer a domain.

If the domain name is available, you'll get the following message:

If not, you'll get a message informing you that it's already registered elsewhere:

If you wanted to go ahead with order the domain, you'd hit next, add new registration information or use the existing user data, and then order.

Creating a subdomain

Creating a subdomain is even easier than ordering a new domain. Simply select Add > Subdomain and enter the subdomain to one of your existing domains.

Once you click ok, your new subdomain will be listed along with your other domains.

Setting a Domain / Subdomain Destination

You can easily set a domain or subdomain to point to a specific directory that already exists or you can create a new directory for the destination.

Change Domain Contact Information

If you wanted to view or make changes to your domain contact information, the domain management toolbar allows you to make these changes easily. Also, making domain registration public or private is done with just a few mouse clicks.

Other Domain Options

There's a search built into the domain management tool bar for users with an abundance of domains and subdomains.

Under the Extras section, you can find ways to make money on unused domains by parking empty pages or parking the actual domain.
